TORONTO WALK DETAILS
WHEN: Sunday November 9, 2014
START TIME: 10:30am (expected finish is around noon)
WHERE: Etienne Brûle Park (3 min walk from Old Mill subway) MAP
Where to Meet
We will meet at the parking lot at the bottom of the hill at the beginning of the Etienne Brule Park trail.
The meeting place is a 3-minute walk from the Old Mill Subway. When you exit the subway, go right and then right again down the hill, past he Old Mill Inn. Walk over the bridge, and you’ll see the parking lot on the left. (The subway starts running at 9am on Sunday mornings.)

The walk is a 5km loop on paved and gravel paths that run beside the Humber River. You’ll walk by the gardens, trees, wetlands, woodland and meadows of the West Humber River valley, an area once travelled by First Nations People.
A perfect location for a Sunday morning remembrance Walk for Peace!
No matter what the weather we will walk. Rain or shine, sleet or snow.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. You may need sunglasses or rain gear. We will have plastic ponchos available in the event of rain.

This is a fundraising event, but you can choose to simply walk.

As we walk we remember those who have served in the armed forces to protect our democracy, freedoms, and borders.
As we walk, we remember those who have suffered the violence and horror of war.
We will remember them.
